Televoke Appoints Bob Kimball as New CEO
 
SAN FRANCISCO, California, August 14, 2001 - Televoke, Inc. announced today that the company has appointed Robert (Bob) Kimball as new Chief Executive Officer. Bob is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company as well as directing the overall strategy and future direction of Televoke. In his position as CEO, he reports to and joins the Board of Directors. Rick Bentley, Televoke's founder and Chairman, remains with the company and the Board, continuing to develop and evangelize the vision of Televoke's telematics service platform.

According to Bob Kimball, "Televoke is poised to break open the telematics market with an integrated, customizable service platform that serves clearly defined safety and security market needs." Bob adds, "From this entry point, Televoke holds the promise to enable new strategic telematics applications. Moreover, Televoke has a great team and a strong set of partners to build upon."

Derek Blazensky of Cardinal Venture Capital, one of Televoke's lead investors, remarks, "Rick is an extraordinary visionary and technical expert, and has done a great job in developing and launching the Televoke service platform. Bob's experience in high-tech marketing and general management will now enable Televoke to get to the next level."

Prior to joining Televoke, Bob was President and CEO of Alliance Manufacturing Software in Santa Barbara, California, a leading MRP-II solution vendor for SMEs, bought by Kewill Systems. Prior to Alliance, Bob was CTO and VP of Marketing with Wynd Communications, a wireless messaging company, which was bought by GoAmerica. Bob began his career as a Product Line Manager at Hewlett Packard, and since then has held a number of senior marketing and general management positions with high-tech software companies, including Ashton-Tate, XTree, Central Point and Adaptiv Software. Bob holds an MBA in Marketing from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA, and a BSEE from UC Berkeley.
