Televoke Offers Service in Mexico, Selects Maptuit for North America Mapping, Geoscape for Mexico Data

San Francisco, CA, August 20, 2002- Televoke Inc., a leading telematics software company, today announced service in Mexico -- the result of integrating location-based services from Maptuit Corporation and Mexico mapping data from Geoscape International, Inc. Televoke customers can now track vehicles as they travel within and between the United States, Canada and Mexico, as well as when crossing borders.

Maptuit also provides Televoke customers with improved mapping services throughout North America, including distance and direction to the nearest intersection in addition to a street address. By providing the nearest cross-street or freeway exit on the phone or over the web, Televoke now delivers improved accuracy for stolen vehicle tracking, as well as other safety and security applications. (The process of converting longitude and latitude coordinates to an exact street address is known as "reverse geocoding.")

"The desire to track the location of your vehicle doesn't stop at a border. In fact, it often increases," said Bob Kimball, CEO of Televoke. "By partnering with Maptuit, an online leader in mapping, and integrating with our licensed data for Mexico from Geoscape, Televoke continues to offer practical and affordable telematics that make it simple for people to connect to things - and now in more locations." Kimball added, "Televoke's relationship with Maptuit allows us to quickly expand into new geographic regions that have been underserved by most mapping and location based service providers."

"Televoke makes telematics services available for everyone - from individual car owners to companies tracking large trucks," said Paul Gremaud, SVP, Business Development for Maptuit. "With Maptuit, Televoke will offer superior transportation solutions to thousands of Televoke customers in the Americas."

"We are delighted to be working with Televoke and Maptuit, in providing seamless mapping services for Televoke customers throughout North America, including Mexico," said César M. Melgoza, President of Geoscape. "We look forward to supporting Televoke with expansion into other international markets."
