SAN
FRANCISCO, California, July 13,
2000 - Televoke,
Inc. (www.televoke.com),
an Internet-based Application
Service Provider that bundles
Internet, wireless, and telephony
services to connect people to
things important to them, announced
today that it will provide notification
and tracking services for SecuraTrak.
SecuraTrak (www.securatrak.com)
is a patented wireless tracking
system that can locate stolen
or missing high tech hardware.
Televoke
offers a core technology that
provides automated notification,
control, and tracking services.
With Televoke's services, SecuraTrak's
customers can be notified when
their hardware unit has moved
outside a pre-specified area,
and they will be able to track
this hardware from any touch-tone
phone or Internet connection.
SecuraTrak's premiere product,
the SecuraTrak Pro, uses GPS and
AMPS/NAMPS cellular technology
to track stolen high tech hardware.
SecuraTrak will work closely with
local police departments to offer
customers complete recovery of
their hardware upon theft. SecuraTrak
is focusing on the retrieval of
stolen and misplaced laptops,
desktops, and servers but has
its eyes on expanding into tracking
people. People tracking can be
used to find errant parolees,
hikers, or even a lost child at
an amusement park.
Rick Bentley, Founder and CEO
of Televoke, Inc., said, "We are
excited to partner with SecuraTrak.
By integrating Televoke's services
into their products, SecuraTrak
can focus on developing and distributing
their hardware while we provide
the secure, scaleable backend
support."
"Televoke's services are perfect
for our needs," said James McGibney,
Founder and CEO of SecuraTrak.
"Their automated features will
allow us to get to market quicker
and offer our services at a much
lower price. Our beta launch is
scheduled for the end of August,
and Televoke has become an intricate
piece of the puzzle. They have
proven to be one of the best Internet-based
