InterTrak Ships AEGIS™ Vehicle Location Product
 
FRISCO, Texas, June 11, 2001 - InterTrak Tracking Services, L.L.C., has released the first affordable vehicle theft and carjacking recovery service without a monthly fee.

"We are happy to be shipping Aegis™, a GPS based passenger and vehicle safety product at ‘Down to Earth’ prices," announced Edward Muldowney, InterTrak’s President. "For the first time consumers can get basic GPS call-in stolen and carjacking vehicle recovery assistance without a paying a monthly charge."

In addition, Aegis will enhance the operation of conventional vehicle security, remote start, keyless entry and convenience devices by extending their range with affordable nationwide subscription service.

Aegis immediately notifies customers of a triggered vehicle event by contacting the vehicle owner via telephone, email, fax or text-enabled pager. Aegis subscription customers can call a toll free number to locate their vehicle anywhere in the ubiquitous North American coverage area.

InterTrak Tracking Services has teamed up with Televoke’s computerized backbone and Aeris.net MicroBurst® cellular network to make a dramatic improvement in personal road safety. Aegis has added the human touch of InterTrak’s response personnel to provide clients with continuous "peace of mind."

InterTrak’s network operations center (NOC) is Internet and telephony based, conveying real-time customer subscription commands such as unlocking power door locks, remote starting their engine, and locating a vehicle anywhere in InterTrak’s North American coverage area.

Customers who opt for the InterTrak modestly priced subscriber service will also receive alerts for vehicle theft, low battery, excess speeding, alarm trigger, back-up battery switch over and universal input for automated responses. AEGIS’ basic application is a simple 2-wire "under-an-hour installation." An experienced technician can perform a more in-depth configuration using his existing alarm skills.
