Aftermarket Aftermarket refers to equipment that is installed in vehcile after the factory assembly by auto OEM, by either a auto dealer, expeditor, or electronics retailer.
ASP Application Service Provider. An ASP bundles infrastructure, software applications, and other related services for its customers. These applications are managed remotely from the infrastructure provided by the ASP rather than installed at the location of the end user.
Cellular Cellular refers to an analog or digital mobile phone system operating in the 800MHz band.
Control Channel Within a cellular telephone system, several of the channels are assigned as 'control' channels. Instead of supporting voice data transmissions, cellular control channels allow the base station to broadcast information to the cellular devices in its area. Cellular devices continuously monitor this broadcast information, selecting the base station that provides the strongest signal.
Expeditor Expeditors are independent contract installers of aftermarket products for car dealers and other retail outlets.
GPS Global Positioning System. GPS is a satellite network maintained by the U.S. government. GPS receivers, now the size of thumbnail chip, can quickly determine their position, using precise longitude and latitude coordinates generated by the satellite system.

GUI

Graphical User Interface. The web pages at the Televoke web site provide a GUI for the configuration of the device.

IVR Interactive Voice Response. IVR is the automated phone system whereby a caller makes various selections via the touchtone pad or through spoken word commands.
NOC Networks Operations Center. The NOC is the central Televoke facility that processes both inbound and outbound messages for notification, control, and tracking services.
OEM Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) refers to automobile manufacturers such as GM, Ford, Daimler-Chrysler, Toyota, etc.
Telematics Telematics is the combination of communications and computer technology for the automotive industry. This combination gives people the power of remote vehicle access, as well as the ability to provide location-specific information regarding their vehicle.
VUI Voice User Interface. VUI is the voice phone interface used by callers for inbound and outbound calls. The IVR function is part of the overall VUI.
